If I should describe my most recent record works including the “Love Orchestra” project, I would say that they are the evolution and the growth of a new and creative musical dimension. It is a dimension which I have always kept in my mind but this did not manage to evolve for many reasons, both outer and inner. Nature teaches us: “all in good time, each fruit in its season and every step at the right moment”. Besides the independent artists must take a care of economical questions and I think many people agree with me. Art might have its quality according to the presence of money but it is usual to think that money is important for a good advertising in this context. It is also true that a long distance, the real art, the deepest and most sensible ones above all, may be know by everybody. Maybe it takes some more time but history has taught it to us a lot of times. For a independent artists as I am, the sale of 100 copies has been a great success and to do it, a financial strain has been necessary. Not wistanding a lot of enthusiasm, the “Love Orchestra” project has had a lot of problems to overcome. Like a good amateur facing a professional football team, I had to adapt my way of getting to my aims to this situation by matching my thoughts with the ideas of expert contributors in order to create a stable and efficient team: of course we needed in order to keep the team united. Among these persons I would like to mention my friend Pier Luigi who is the official photographer of the group, Tony who has been the drummer and my collaborator in some record performances since 1994, Paolo who is the owner of Axis Studio and has also been supporting my group during recordings, mixers and in cd-writings for 12 years, Leo who is a bassist and shares the love for music with me, Cinzia our present additional singer of the band and two present record productions by the very young singers Alexandra J. and Martina. On these bases the volume “Atto II” was completed in 2004: this work was revised a lot of times.
The first working session started in 1996: a lot of trials were characterized even by many fits of anger. The songs did not sound so badly but it was impossible to carry on with the same people for more than 6/7 months. The preceding experience let me understand how difficult it was to keep a band united; this happened because of the changing habits and artists interests so it is more difficult to walk together with other people. With “The Creampuff” we had about 20 artists in five years, so many…
Certainly everyone of them left something so that the driving force of the band became stronger but every time we had to start again with the trials. For this reason the “Love Orchestra project “ is different from the previous ones, infact it is developing on one or more temporary co-operations with different elements. Then the harmony itself, friendship and understanding each other led to the length of the artistic relationships. The year 1996 marked the beginning of some isolated attempts to mix new musical sensations linked with past experiences. We also had to choose a new name: I did not want to despise the “Creampuff” which taught me a lot, it was the time to evolve. I wished to leave the “Creampuff” together with other past experiences such as the “White Shadows” (1983), the “Storm” (1984-1986), the “TNT” and the “Keylord” (between 1986 and 1988). This was not an artistic experiences to assess positively or negatively but just a period where I had done my experiences. As our first love should be kept in our memory with respect even if this made us a little bit angry; it was simply a new act. This romantic and sensitive sound was spreading with provisional and experienced artists in order to create a new dimension. In 1995, the preceding year of these memories and two years after my last concert of the “Creampuff”, I took part as a co-producer, musician and singer to a musical project called “Scalo” which had its artistic peak with the production of an album characterized by Rock Italian style, Pub. It was a nice and interesting experience, even if I had some new ideas about music in my mind which keep you on the watch until they are highlighted. I also like to underline that some still existing co-operations were born together with the “Scalo project” which increased the professionalism of the following record productions.
The following year, in 1996, I took part in musical happenings so called “Artisti Uniti project”. In 1997 the song “Torna da me” appeared, only using my name. in 2003 a promotional album “Noi” came out with the “Aura project band” denomination. The following year, I appeared on some TV programs brushing up the old but affectionate “Creampuff” denomination and at last the “Atto II” album cane out. For this project which I considered better than the others of the past for its technique and refinement, I decoded for the “Love Orchestra” denomination. Another term, because this one expressed the idea of what I was going to do. To be sincere, the first appellation I thought, was “Love Boat Orchestra”. Fortunately later on, my web designer, Gian Piero, really patient to my frequent request of changes of my web site, made me change idea. As there were TV programs with the “Creampuff” term, I could have used term again. On creating a new kind of music, I decided to change , as I said before.
“Atto II” is an album expressing ten years of elaborations, arrangements, trials and so on. In those years, I took some risks to show myself as much as possible. The seven songs included in the album are quite different one from the other. They are different but as the same time convey a very romantic outline but melancholy at the same time. To be clear, not a gloomy man pulling out his hair, on the contrary an artist leading a period of growth and sweet memories which let you appreciate the present at most. Maybe, a constructive and positive melancholy.
The album, listed by specialized critics, into a very experimental sound, had a good response from the public. A small amount of listeners but very careful and experienced. As it also happens in jazz, in classical music and in blues, where there are not usually 5.000 or 10.000 people during the concerts, here was can find a public consisting of fewer person who understand a lot about music. On the contrary, they are very often musicians busy at scanning and knowing something new.
The following years, in 2005, as things went fairly well with the “Atto II” album (500 copies were printed), I wanted to produce some songs from my archives and now ready to come out. This was not a real album, it was just a promotion with the only idea to give a little musical masterpiece as a gift to the most faithful fans who appreciated the mentioned album. Just tree songs, characterized by real new age, tribal sound and the most modern dance even surrounded by recent musical effects, this album has been doubled in only 30 copies to stress the record value, is partly dedicated to the past. A past with a lot of thoughts, not everyone of them is positive, as it often happens to us, on the contrary they are full of respect and aware of a slow and constant artistic growth. The name given to this musical work of art is “The Creampuff tribute” in order to respect its meaning. Of course, we must not think that the other previous experiences have had an emotional value. Notwistanding the very young age of the plans preceding the “Creampuff” project, these ones often involve my mind simply and spontaneously. I opted for “The Creampuff tribute” only for the reason why there were the first musical experiences of such depth with this band.
Well, for to finish this my little biography, here you can see the list of my new radio e television singles: My love is (Love Orchestra feat. Helta Him 2005), Love to be love (2006), Blues of love (2006), Let it pray (2007), You set me free (2008).
